Meditation on the life of Christ ought to be part of every Christian's contemplative prayer life!

If this is not the case for you -- and particularly if you are not sure exactly how to do it -- then you really ought to check out the handout and lecture below. In them, I explain what meditation is and outline a variety of ways to do it, with Fr. Martin Thornton as our trustworthy guide.


While covering chapter 6 & 7 of Fr. Martin Thornton's The Purple Headed Mountain (see the last post for the relevant reading guide), I also drew heavily on a relevant section of his Christian Proficiency.
