Lectures on Book of Titus

By Fr. Sean McDermott

Even though the lockdown and social distancing has been very tough on parishes, it has also pushed us to get more creative with ways to come together. In the past at our parish, we have always had clergy and laity from the parish teach adult education. However, with the necessity of using Zoom, we thought that we would reach out and ask others from the diocese to help teach our classes. The result has been fantastic--parishioners get to hear new voices and perspectives, and we get to see all the great talent in our diocese.

Last month, we asked Dr. Paul Owen to teach a three-part series on the book of Titus. Dr. Owen attends All Saints in Mills River, NC and is professor of Bible and Ministry at Montreat College. We thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Owen leading us through the short book of Titus verse by verse as he gave helpful historical and linguistic background while showing the sacramental theology of St. Paul. Enjoy!
