EWTN Affiliate Interviews Fr. Mark

By Fr. Mark Perkins

This morning I was interviewed by the hosts of LA Catholic Radio, the morning show of Archangel Radio, which is an EWTN affiliate out of Mobile, Alabama. (Being a former resident of Pensacola, Florida, the son of a Montgomerian, and the grandson of former residents of Mobile, I must assume you know that "LA" means Lower Alabama.)

They asked me a lot of great, tough questions about my piece in Public Discourse on "Abortion, Vaccines, and Moral Imagination":

I'm curious, readers, how you have navigated the issue -- not so much the question of these vaccines, but the much larger question about societal engagement, given that most modern medicines, processed foods, and cosmetics have the exact same indirect links to abortion as the COVID-19 vaccines. What is our moral responsibility? How ought we to respond?

Fr. Mark Perkins is Curate at St. Alban's Anglican Cathedral in Oviedo, Florida and Executive Editor of Earth & Altar.

Nice job, Fr. Mark! I liked your fine distinctions and that point about purity; so is the point the host made about dolphin-free tuna and purity cults in other contexts. (Of course, humans *are* animals. And mammals. And primates. We're lots of things. And so is Jesus.)
